Bruce outlines the challenges to agriculture and food production of even small changes in temperature, and how rural communities are already beginning to prepare for the climate of the future. He also talks about the role of CCAFS’s newly-established Commission on Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Change, which will be working this year to develop “specific policies and measures that must be taken to boost food production, reduce poverty and cope with climate change in agriculture.”
