CIAT’s Flickr site – 200,000 hits

CIAT’s online photo gallery at Flickr received its 200,000th hit overnight.

The site, set up in May 2009, now features more than 1,800 pictures documenting the work of CIAT to develop and promote eco-efficient agriculture to help reduce poverty across the Tropics. The pictures have Creative Commons licences, meaning you can use them – the usual conditions apply though – a CIAT credit please. Users of the site have included the BBC, The Guardian and Associated Press. Here’s a “best of CIAT in pictures” from the site.

This week we’ll be uploading lots of new shots from Kenya, to coincide with the completion of the latest Two Degrees Up climate change photofilm, which highlights the challenge of climate change to small farmers in the country’s Mount Kenya region, and what they are doing to adapt.
