Danger zone for world food prices?

World food prices could be rising towards the dangerously high levels experienced during the food price crisis of 2008, The Guardian newspaper reports today. In December 2010, the UN food price inflation index saw the biggest jump since records began in 1990, driven by soaring prices for sugar, grain and oilseed.
