CCAFS annual report lays the foundation for action

The Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) Research Program of the CGIAR has just published its new annual report. The CIAT-led initiative is the world’s largest coalition of scientists working at the point where agriculture and climate change meet.

The Annual Report 2010 covers the transition of CCAFS from a CGIAR Challenge Program to its establishment as the CGIAR’s official climate change Research Program, detailing the range of initiatives already underway to help smallholder farmers rise to the challenge of climate change. Click to read:

From the identification of priority sites in East and West Africa, and the Indo-Gangetic Plains of South Asia, to the engagement of key partners around the world, CCAFS is already a major driving force for new and innovative science,  as well as for ensuring agriculture features prominently in international climate negotiations.

Click to find out more about how CCAFS has established firm foundations for climate action, and keep checking the CIAT blog and CCAFS blog for regular updates.
